Heidi Avalon

With more than 20 years of experience, Heidi invests her wealth of knowledge in her work for our clients. As the leader of our team, Heidi is our expert in all accounting and finance matters including client analysis, projections and forecasting, payroll and human resources administration, tax preparedness and more.
Heidi has worked in public accounting as an auditor which gave her the opportunity to work with a variety of organizations including nonprofits, financial institutions, colleges, retail and service companies.
In 2003, Heidi became an independent contractor during which time she provided accounting and consulting services to many small businesses and nonprofits in the Omaha area before formalizing her own business in 2014. From 2006 through 2013, she taught bachelor’s and master’s level accounting courses as an adjunct professor at Bellevue University.
Heidi, her husband and four children enjoy spending time together doing activities outdoors. They are often camping, bike riding, playing sports and traveling.
Fun Fact: Heidi has an identical twin who is 4 minutes older than her – Heidi’s mother didn’t even know she was having twins!
Jill Bailey

Jill has made a great impact with our clients by applying her extensive accounting and finance knowledge. She enjoys learning about our clients’ missions while assisting them in achieving their goals. She also pursues continuous learning and growth opportunities to expand her knowledge and stay on top of current trends.
Over the past two decades, she has spent much of her career working in the financial sector and construction industry building her capabilities in multiple areas such as budgeting, strategic planning, financial analysis, problem solving, team building, fraud detection, marketing, human resource management, job costing, project analysis and the ability to increase efficiencies through data utilization.
In her free time, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, son and other family members. She relaxes by reading, walking and playing with her three dogs.
Fun Fact: Jill is a devout Michigan Wolverine fan!
Ellen Rogers

Ellen joined our team to provide specialized services tailored to the needs of our nonprofit clients while focusing on grants management and fund allocations for federal grants. Her unique experience helps our clients navigate the complexities and intricacies of both federal and private grant processes.
For the past 20 years, Ellen has spent most of her career working in the nonprofit sector with an emphasis on federal grants management and grant preparation. She also brings experience in human resource management and medical billing/coding as well as process improvement.
In her free time, Ellen enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She enjoys gardening, kayaking, travel and the great outdoors.
Fun Fact: Ellen is also an avid Nebraska Huskers and Kansas City Chiefs fan!
Jenny Bennett

With more than 18 years of business experience, Jenny plays a vital role on our team. Since joining our team, she has utilized her leadership, financial reporting, process improvement, project management and customer service skills.
After a long career managing different teams within the finance department of a local Fortune 500 company, Jenny has brought her experience to our clients where she provides analytics, solutions and strategies to improving policies. She enjoys building relationships and providing a high-quality service to our clients that help them gain efficiencies within their businesses.
When she’s not working, you can find Jenny volunteering with area youth as a softball and basketball coach.
Fun Fact: Jenny played Division 1 softball at Creighton where she was recruited to pitch but ended up playing all positions.
Jennie Phillips

Jennie fills a central role on our team focusing on budget management, process efficiency, customer services, project management and timelines while building relationships with our clients.
Previously, Jennie worked in floral and interior design producing high-end interior design products. She applied problem-solving and time management skills as production manager to meet the quality standards and expectations of her clients.
Jennie is a 28-year military spouse and has one son and one daughter. She has served on the Blade and Edge Figure Skating Club board and the Rumsey Station Elementary PTO in several roles. She has also volunteered as a volleyball coach with the Bellevue Junior Sports Academy and has been an Assistant Den Leader with the Cub Scouts.
Fun Fact: Jennie is an award-winning floral designer and featured in magazines when living in Florida. She also enjoys baking and decorating cupcakes for family, friends, neighbors and coworkers!
Cindy Stowell
ACCOUNT MANAGER

Cindy excels at working one-on-one with our clients, giving them personal attention and catering to their individual needs. Her prior experience as a tax analyst, filing tax returns and assisting with audit preparation, has proven beneficial to our clients. She also processes payroll, does account reconciliations and submits monthly financials.
Cindy and her husband enjoy watching their two children’s activities or helping at their schools. She also enjoys volunteering at the Rose Theater, traveling, reading or exercising.
Fun Fact: Starting in eighth grade, Cindy spent seven years studying Japanese.
